The staff were friendly and the food at the café nextdoor was okay,,,,,
We arrived early so had a walk around, only to find that the whole place is in need of not just a face lift but major surgery,
Everything was old, dirty, tired and rotting, and then our room was ready,
It has very high steps to get up a nice little varander, then inside OMG the smell of rot and damp was awful, the toilet pan was clean, the sink needed replacing, a dirty rotten shelf, the bed had an old damp mattress, with only a bottom sheet a small very thin old throw and mucky 2 pillow's, but the pockets of crumbling damp/mould on the walls was the last straw.
Fortunately we got our money back and the people running the place were very nice to us.
Only book if you don't mind all of the above. More

The amount of passion and dedication that was shown was outstanding. Plus the peacefulness of the mountains and the cooking was better than any place in the DR.

I will miss their dog taina coming in to curl up with us by the fire at our villa .
