The nearest town (Constanza) is 50 minutes away on unpaved road. You must bring your own food and beverage in coolers filled with ice. Prepare to be amazed by the view of the stars at night, make sure you bring clothing for cold weather.
Something I disliked is the lack of hot water everywhere but the shower, I think hot water is essential in the kitchen faucet, but again, don't expect hotel-class comfort, but the overall experience was fantastic. More

The amount of passion and dedication that was shown was outstanding. Plus the peacefulness of the mountains and the cooking was better than any place in the DR.

The cabins were well taken care of and clean. The atmosphere at Villa Pajon is quiet & surrounded with sounds of nature. The view is simply amazing, approximately 7,000ft above sea level. The clouds roll in every morning, really making you feel in the mountains, and also in the clouds; great time to enjoy while on the front porch!

There was plenty of hiking to take part in, all which was accompanied by great views. One hike was to an area where there are massive volcanic rocks that had rolled down the mountain, back when the area was volcanic many years ago. The boulders were very cool to see and made for great pictures. The lodge also provided horseback riding, again accompanied by amazing views, sounds of birds, and fresh air; flowers everywhere! The Aguas Blancas waterfall was beautiful, and worth the hike & swim. They had a big park for kids, lots of play room.

You definitely get privacy here, and you really feel like you are in the mountains. The rustic cabins, hikes, fresh air, great views, horses, waterfall, flowers, etc, ALL call for a great time. Endless things to do, all exciting.

Villa Pajon is a great place to stay whether you are wanting to relax or be adventurous. It was definitely a unique place to stay & had lots of character. Absolutely worth every penny! I would recommend to groups of friends traveling, couples, families, anyone! You will not regret it.
